The Story of Meet me at the Lamp(p)ost
Meet me at the Lamp(p)ost is a collaborative collection of street photography that celebrates East Vancouver’s illustrious artistry and grit while capturing stillness in a world full of transient moments. Motivated by the present, Meet me at the Lamp(p)ost promotes contentment in self and place. Established in 2016 by Irish-born, Canadian residents Laura Noonan and Tara Mary Paget, the self–taught pair focus predominately on documenting and exploring the landscape, people and architecture that make up East Vancouver, paying particular attention to the relationships that constitute each of these perspectives. Both artists live and work in East Vancouver and continue to draw inspiration from the mosaic neighbourhood every day.
